I made it to the last 45 minutes of Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, CT this morning. Some cars were already leaving as I pulled in, so I only got to snap pics of a few stragglers who were still hanging around. I wanted to make sure I saw everything that I could, so I didn’t take many pictures. I wish I snapped a pic of the 930 turbo I saw... I love that car.
There was a 918 Spyder in attendance, the crowd was too big to get a decent picture. That thing sounded COOL. I hope you guys enjoy the pics!
Obligatory E30 M3. This thing had some rust and dings, my kind of M3 owner! One who drives the hell out of it.
Gotta love a real RHD AE86. The owner was a bit of a dick, he didn’t even say “thanks” when I told him his car was beautiful. And it really is: real RS Watanabe wheels, carbon fiber hood, the panda look was very tastefully executed.
I spent a lot of time checking out this Morgan AeroMax. The side exhaust, the beautiful lines, this was really a treat. The owner revved up the engine on the way out and it was glorious. What’s curious is that it was riding on a set of RAYS wheels! I think they work really well with the car. Japan meets the UK!
The paint job had seen better days, but I love me a Lotus Europa!
Countach time! Those tires are 335’s! SO MEATY. First time I’ve seen a Countach in real life. This thing made the Aventador next to it look like a Toyota Camry.
And here is that Aventador. It looks good in white.
Awesome color for a GT3 RS.
I have a soft spot for Austin Healeys. I’m a bigger fan of the later models, the 3000’s, but this older one was bad ass. Love the two-tone on this car. Some of then came in a blue-and-cream two-tone.
I dunno the history behind it, but this was one badass looking 356 race car.
I thought this was particularly interesting, an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce. With so many Italian words next to each other, it’s gotta be rare.
A turbo Miata with one CLEAN engine bay. I dream of having an engine bay like this some day... Turbo included!
I’m a sucker for Roadsters, and the M Roadster is up there on the top of my want list. So is that V12 Vantage convertible it’s sitting next to!
Last but not least, the coolest Bronco I’ve ever seen!

You must have missed me by only a few minutes then! Bummer!
I met up with a few Oppos, missed a couple others, but this Miata! I met the owner yesterday at my local C&C where we parked very close to each other.
He’s genuinely one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. Super chill and very interested in getting to know the stories behind cars.
What if I told you that ridiculously clean, awesome looking little Miata had 444k miles on it?

True fact about this car: There’s less than 20 in the country. Something like 13 I think, unless another one has recently come in. About 5 on the east coast, the remaining 8 on the west coast.

It’s unfortunate that Signal Green isn’t offered anymore.

This looks like a DB7 to me. I only bring it up because you have it labeled as a V12 Vantage in your post.

That’s my 2000 M Roadster and it is still a blast after 12+ years of ownership. Another great Caffeine & Carburetors event and suggest others check it out if in the area. Fun for the whole family!

I was there!!!
Apparently thats a Morgan Aeromax, according to a guy on here a year or so ago, who told me when I posted pictures of it. At a C&C New Canaan. The guys a total regular.

Awesome! I love your car. Cool to see that it’s owned by someone on Oppo!

Nice! Thanks for the info. It didn’t look like a regular Aero 8 to me, but I’ve never seen one of those in real life either.

Cool to hear that its owner was a nice guy. I would have talked his ear off as I’m trying to turbo my Miata sometime down the road.
As for the mileage... I’m not sure I’d believe you! My Miata only has 160K on it and the thing is turning into a rust bucket. If that Miata has 444K miles on it then kudos to its owner! Or he’s “smart” and doesn’t drive a Miata all winter like me.

The badge in the back said “V12 Vantage,” but I don’t claim to be an expert!

I just love the color. Even in the shade it was so bright and perfect.

Next time you see it, check the odometer for yourself.

Hmm... that’s quite odd.
